Both verbal and symbolic, depicting a compass and square, this unusual button represents the symbol of a Master Mason. The cased black glass mounted in white metal has an impressed molded surface design revealing a white glass casing. For classification, this button fits under Glass mounted in/on Metal, Pictorial objects, and Symbols. It is also considered “verbal” because of the “G” in the face design. Very versatile in a competition!
Metal looks very old and even pitted which explains the mottled color here. It has an oval back plate with heavy loop shank.
