• Favrile glass Scarab by Tiffany

According to “The Lost Treasures of Louis Comfort Tiffany” by Hugh McKean, the original card of circa 1910 had 12 buttons stitched to a black card stamped “The Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company” or “Tiffany Favrile Glass/Tiffany Furnaces/Sole Makers/Corona, L.I., N.Y.” If anyone has the original card, we’d love to feature it on this page. Let us know!

Corning Museum of Glass glossary describes Favrile as a type of glass with an iridescent surface, patented by Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) in 1894.
