Kyoto satsuma, Yōzan back mark
Background/Story
Division I satsuma with a 陽山 (Yōzan) back mark. Yōzan is mentioned in “Satsuma” (ISBN 978-4990861407; p.142, p. 155) as a ceramic painter who once resided just south of the Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto, as inferred from an old New Year’s Card found in Chin Jukan satsuma studio of Kagoshima.
