Background/Story
Mother-of-pearl on sterling silver, made by Lawson Ward & Gammage of London, UK. The company was founded in 1903, and by the 1930’s was a big operation with dozens of employees and worldwide sales. This button was contributed by Liz, who helped identify the other button which had the same back mark. Through correspondence with the company, we have learned that the same marking punch is still in use today.
