The original card with handwritten notes suggests they are from New Dehli, the capital of India. These buttons, made in the late 19th to early 20th centuries as souvenirs and are almost always unmarked. They were made to wear with the western dress, sold in northern India, or in neighboring regions such as Afghanistan or Nepal.
