Background/Story

United States Golden Bridge Hunt

The Golden Bridge Hunt is an American Foxhunting Hunt. The earliest Master I see listed in Baily’s Hunt Directory is Mr. Carlo Paterno in  1949.  There are 24 couple of Penn-Marydel Hounds. The kennels are listed as in North Salem, New York.  The country is approx. 17 miles wide and 22 miles long being hill and dale country with good coverts.  There are stone walls, post and rail and chicken coop jumps.  The uniform for gentlemen is Scarlet, with black collar and for ladies black with scarlet collar. Evening Dress is Scarlet, black collar and white silk facings.   The hunt season is listed as August 17 to February 28.
