Today’s Aerogramme brings to you some recent discoveries about a button featuring a theater character Marcel, identified in the BBB (plate 75, #26 in 1991 edition). Marcel is the faithful soldier in the grand opera Les Huguenots that premiered at the Opéra in Paris in 1836.
