Back mark indicates that the button was made in early to mid-20th century.

Background/Story

This button belongs to the British Border Regiment. The emblem of the Chinese dragon was awarded to the 55th Regiment in recognition of the Chinese Imperial Standard captured in 1842, which is currently stored at the Kendal Parish Church.
