My Pink Button Fish started with the beautiful fabric that I used for the background. After looking at it for a couple weeks, I got the inspiration to do a pink fish. I thought the buttons would make the perfect representation of fish scales, so I sewed them on in a layered effect. I came across a pretty vintage handkerchief for the fins, which I stuffed and sewed to create a 3 -D effect. She looks quite feminine, I think !
